The widespread emphasis on wellness and a more holistic approach to healthcare have risen popularity for herbs. People are increasingly using herbs for natural treatment and prevention, effective to a variety of ailments.

Herbs play a significant role, especially in modern times, when the harmful effects of processing and over-medication of food have assumed alarming proportions. Now they are increasingly used in cosmetics, foods and teas, as well as alternative medicines.

The growing interest in herbs is a part of the movement towards change in lifestyle. This move is based on the belief that plants have a vast potential for use as a curative medicine.
What is grass?

Botanist, an herb is a plant with a non-woody stem to wither and die down after flowering. In common usage, however, the term applies to all plants leaves, stems, roots, flowers, fruits, or seeds have culinary or medicinal use. This approach forms the basis of the herbs included in this site.

Significant applications of herbs

The applications of herbal medicine dated back in like thousands of years. In fact, most of today’s medicines were originally derived from botanicals herbs of yester-years. For example, aspirin once came from the white willow tree, quinine from the bark of the cinchona tree and digitalis from foxglove.

Herbs are still the basis for Chinese and Indian school of medicine and are important components of many European natural remedies. As Hippocrates said, “let thy food be thy medicine, thy medicine be thy food.”

Herbs have been used effectively to prevent people from disease and nurse back to health for centuries. They are popular in these modern times because they are often very mild and without the side effects of pharmaceutical medications.

The herbs are used in many different ways. But the ultimate goal of its use is that must interact directly with our body chemistry. They can be used in various forms like food, medicines, cosmetics, or fragrance, but in all cases their active constituents must be absorbed into the body to derive the benefits required.

Traditional herbal remedies have led scientists to the development of numerous modern medicines, establishing beyond doubt the efficacy of herbal medicine.

Once absorbed into the blood stream, they circulate to influence our whole system. The skill of the herbalist is to use this effect to balance and strengthen the body’s own healing mechanism instead of suppressing or disturbing, as many modern drugs tend to do.
Are herbs safe?

Most common herbs are as safe as food. However, many contain potent chemicals that can harm if used carelessly, and some of the most virulent of poisons come from plants. There’s also the fact that for each substance in the world, there is someone who is allergic to it. So all the herbs should be used with caution and respect.

Homeopathy is a treatment method that is based on the principle of similarity: similarity between the toxicological power of a substance and its healing power.

Substances that are used in large doses cause illness, while if used in very small doses (infinitesimal) cure symptoms similar to those they have caused.

Homeopathy is also characterized by the individualization of treatment. Homeopathy For no diseases but sick, so treatment is always dependent on how the patient reacts.

“Homeopathy does not override conventional medicine (allopathy).
- The Homeopathy Allopathy does not cancel. The treating physician determines that your patient need when acute or chronic.

THE MANUFACTURING:
- Homeopathic medicines are manufactured from substances of vegetable, mineral or animal.

The basic substance undergoes a number of dilutions-dynamic. The dilutions are then impregnated on granules or globules, most characteristic forms of homeopathic medicines. They can be prepared as well, as drops, tablets, ointments, etc..

- As in traditional medicines, the manufacture of homeopathic medicines is subject to strict controls.

- In general, the prospect of a drug indicates its composition and dosage to be used, namely its “instructions”. In Homeopathy it is not. A homeopathic remedy can be used in treating many different diseases. This is why there is no prospect in most homeopathic medicines.

Healing with Homeopathy is no more complicated than with any other treatment. You just need to respect some rules.

HOW IS IT ADMINISTERED?
- Homeopathic medicines found in pharmacies. Usually occurs in the practical form of granules or globules. Without swallowing or chewing, left to dissolve under the tongue or 4 granules, once the contents of a tube-dose.

It is advisable to take them 15 minutes before or after meals. It is better to have no strong taste in the mouth at the time of taking them (coffee, mint, snuff, tea, etc.)..

- Homeopathy, since its inception, has proven its effectiveness. It is capable, by itself, to cure many chronic conditions and has rapid action in acute diseases (influenza, nasopharyngitis, diarrhea, colic, trauma, pain, menstrual disorders, etc.)

- It is often used in pediatrics

The phrase “this does not save or Chinese doctor” is the result of the successes in the performance of traditional herbal medicine made by Dr Cham Bom Bian of the city of Cardenas, Matanzas province, in the nineteenth century.

Herbal medicine or phytotherapy is a therapeutic practice that different preparations of plants used to treat diseases. It is considered one of the first systems of healing and continuing today.

In Egypt since the 1300s B.C. and cultivated plants collected for medicinal purposes by the papyri of the time. A builder of temples and pyramids were given garlic to keep them healthy. Some papyri, such as Smith, account for more than 400 raw materials, both animal and plant for the treatment of disease.

In Babylon the king Mardukapaolidine II (772-710 BC) built a garden for growing medicinal plants for which he became famous.

In Greece figures as Aristotle and Hippocrates described the importance of herbal medicine. The latter, in his work Corpus Hippocraticum, linked to each disease a plant-based remedy. Erasios also referred Teofasto of botanical studies and the use of many plants.

During the Middle Ages, Municipality Dioscorides, in his Treatise on Materia Medica, listed more than 500 drugs of plant origin and the beneficial use of many of them.

Each region has different kinds of medicinal plants and applications that depend to a large extent on the cultural tradition.

Many modern medicines originate from plants used for therapeutic purposes. Among them mention may be quinine, extracted from the bark of the cinchona tree, aspirin, from willow bark and digoxin from the foxglove.

Herbal medicine uses whole plants whose extracts contain various constituents are mixed and not purified or isolated components. It ensures that herbal medicine preparations biochemical elements, working in groups, have a greater effect than when used separately and that significantly reduces toxicity.

During the nineteenth century with the development of chemistry and physics were isolated active principles of plants with great impact to the medical clinic. Thus were obtained the first chemically pure drugs: morphine and quinine.

Until then, the inaccuracy of the formulas plants had prevented the identification of aspects such as the minimum active dose, the safety margin of the substance and the median lethal dose.

In that sense, were increased risks of acute overdose or accidental poisoning in herbal medicine. So did the incidence of unexpected adverse reactions, because of any of the numerous compounds present in natural preparations.

Herbal remedies are derived from combination of herbs, flowers, leaves, bark and roots that are routinely taken as teas or tinctures, extracts in alcohol. They are also used by way of pills, capsules, ointments and compresses.

One current difficulty of herbal medicine is that many of their remedies are based on medicinal plants growing wild are endangered or scarce to be used by pharmaceutical companies.
